(Closed) Giveaway & Review: Shutter Buddy

*Giveaway Has Ended*

Getting your little ones to stay still or give their attention to the camera while taking a picture can sometimes be bothersome. ShutterBuddy takes the hassle away from baby picture taking
by “using the science of infant vision development and pattern recognition”.

The ShutterBuddy is easily storable and lightweight so you can take it with you anywhere. The design was made to fit any camera. I used the Shutter Buddy on a friend’s 4 month old daughter and sure enough the bright colors and patterns captured her attention enough to take some great pictures.

We are first time grandparents to a 7 month old girl….plus I am a biggie time scrapbooker so I am taking tons and tons of pictures of baby G. My fav technique is I use a bell….I will ring it and she will look towards the bell…then I snap the pic.

What a great idea!! My best tip for taking photos of babies and kids is to get down at their level! I often lay on the floor on my stomach to photograph our grandson!

I’ve been experimenting lately with homemade filters. I can’t afford to buy real special effect filters for my camera (yet!), but I have been playing with shooting through colored cling wrap. It can make for some cool effects!

My favourite technique is to just hold down the button, the camera I have takes pictures at about 2 seconds intervals and after doing all I can to get a smile I have roughly 100 photos to sift through but almost garunted to have a decent one! 🙂

We always use 2 adults – one is behind the lens taking pictures and the other one is holding new toys over the photographer’s head or using a scarf to play peekaboo –that last one worked for our Christmas photos last year, got two great big smiles! 🙂

My best photo taking technique is to allow my husband to take the pictures! He’s fantastic! This is something I’m sure he would love to have. It looks like a miracle worker at getting the baby to look in the right direction.

For actual “shoots,” we make sure she’s well rested, fed, and happy. We try to limit the items on her person that might be distracting and make sure we have a special toy she hasn’t seen in awhile or some cheerios to help her along during.

I have been taking pictures for a long time, and my favorite technique is quite simple: I hold my breath before clicking the shutter. That reduces movement and results in clearer pictures.
