Dolphin Tale is a must buy movie for the holiday season. Even if you watched it while it was playing in the movie theater, it is something that you should have in your home library. It is a story of compassion and a brave dolphin who battles to survive. This is such an amazing true story and will bring tears to even the most toughest guy. To see the compassion and battles faced to save this dolphin’s life tugs at your heart. Caught in a crab trap and severely damaging her tail, the dolphin’s prognosis is bleak. But the bond of complete strangers coming together to rescue and help this dolphin survive is what makes the story a great teaching moment for all of mankind.
The dolphin named Winter herself in the movie. This movie is comparable in my book to “Soul Surfer” in which Bethany Hamilton also serves as a symbol of courage. It also shows that even disabled animals can lead a full life if people just have the will to take care of them.
This movie features Harry Connick Jr and Morgan Freeman and stars a boy named Nathan Gamble.
