Flu season is definitely here. It seems everyone I know is having a bout of the flu or cold. My 3 kids just recently got over flu symptoms and I am happy they are back to good health again. During times like these it’s nice to have the easiest tools possible to make this already hectic time go more smoothly. Exergen Smart Glow Temporal Scanner does just that.
What makes it one of the easiest ways to take a temperature?
· A softly illuminated display for easy reading in any light – perfect for checking the temperature of a sleeping infant in a darkened room
· Beeping sound indicating scanning can be turned off or on to avoid waking a sleeping child
· Automatically retains the last eight temperature readings for instant recall to check on fever progression
· Ability to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes
The Temporal Artery Thermometer uses infrared technology to scan the heat on your forehead that comes from your temporal artery. I used this on my kiddos while they were sick and they seemed liked it better than the ear or mouth thermometers.
You can buy the Temporal Artery Thermometer at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Costco, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, Kroger and BJ’s, the Smart Glow thermometer’s suggested retail price is $49.99.

My best cold fighting technique is to make sure and gargle with mouthwash every night. It sounds odd but when I get sick, it is usually when I have forgotten to gargle for a week or longer.
My best flu fighting tip is hand sanitizer and shop when there are less people.
LOL My best flu fighting tip? Stay away from small children! hahaha they give you everything. They bring it home from school. Seriously- they do. Oh and learn to just not touch your face with your hands when you are out in public.
Of course there is the obvious…wash your hands often and don’t touch your mouth and nose. Stay home when you are sick is the most important!

I am downright militant about taking vitamins during cold and flu season! I also use a throat spray that stops germs before and after being around a lot of people, and I use a vaporizer all winter long. I do my best to stay healthy!

Best tip for cold and flu season is washing hands constantly and getting plenty of rest and fluids.
Wash your hands before you eat or touch your face. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins. Get plenty of rest and avoid people who are sick as much as possible.
Wash your hands thoroughly. Stay inside and if you have to outside, go bundled up.

Besides common sense (handwashing, etc), keep yourself in top shape with lots of Vitamin C and zinc, and fruits and veggies. A built-up immune system helps to fight off germs!

I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer (alcohol based so it doesn’t freeze) in my car and use if after i leave stores where I’ve had my hands on a cart or door handle. I realize it sounds a little germophobic, but I haven’t had a cold or the flu in probably 10 years, so….
