Hellman’s Sandwich Swap and Share helps end childhood hunger

You’re not tired of packing lunches already, are you? I hope not, because Hellman’s has the coolest Facebook app you just have to try! It’s a virtual sandwich swap, and not only is it fun, it benefits a good cause, too. Once you build your sandwich using a variety of breads, fillings, toppings and even some weird things (heart candies? Chocolate syrup?), you can add a fun message and name it, then swap it with one (or more) of your friends. Every time you build a sandwich, Hellman’s/Best Foods makes a donation to Share Our Strength, an organization devoted to ending childhood hunger in the U.S. And each time you swap it with your friends, another donation is made. You can also see some celebrity-made creations, like Lori Loughlin’s yummy-looking Sammy with grilled chicken, roasted peppers and avocados. And if you have a little picky eater in your house, maybe letting her build her own (virtual) sandwich might just spark her to try something new.

Hellman’s has made a commitment to give up to $75,000 to Share Our Strength to help the almost 17 million children who struggle with hunger. Let’s do our part and build some sandwiches!
