Album Review: Mary Lambert, Heart on My Sleeve

Mary Lambert released her new album “Heart on My Sleeve” on October 14th,2014. Her songs are truly inspired and full of wit and charm. She has an amazing talent for songwriting and an amazing voice to go along with it. She sings from the heart and her songs were inspired by events that happened recently in her life.

“I spent a lot of my life feeling really small and worthless, and to put out an album where I’ve gotten to say exactly what I want is gratifying beyond words. It’s a moment for me not to be a doormat anymore and to feel powerful and hopefully inspire that in other people in a way that’s fun and makes people feel something. I think that’s the message of the whole thing.”

Her songs send inspiring messages and connect with others that are going through similar things in their lives. She stands up for herself and takes a stand at being pushed around or caring what others think. I think this album is very powerful and her songs so full of meaning.
